The Legend of Bill Daryl

Many know of the legend of D.B. Cooper, with more knowing Sasquatch, Bigfoot, and the yeti; however, very few know of D.V. and the legend of Bill Daryl.

in 1833 DeAngelo Vickers, also known as D.V., was an ordinary man with an ordinary life until one day, it all changed. While traversing through the woods one gloomy fall morning, D.V. discovered curious tracks, tracks that seemed to be half-man, half Sasquatch. Due to the size, the prints found could not be considered “Bigfoot,” yet, deep down, D.V. knew there was something here; there was something different about these tracks. From this day forward, D.V. spent every waking moment researching, studying, and desiring to know the truth. After several months there was finally a breakthrough! Just like the legends of bigfoot being present in cultures across the globe, the legend D.V. discovered superseded these legends in age and quantity of discoveries. Yet, no one could put their finger on what exactly “it” was. As in any culture, there are many names for creatures of myth and legend, this creature, however, across every continent, in every tongue and tribe, only had one name, that name being Bill Daryl. From this incredible discovery, DeAngelo took to the streets, more fierce than ever, to discover the truth of this Bill Daryl. After years of harassment by scientists and explorers alike, D.V. did not flinch in his pursuit; in fact, it only made his drive stronger.

D.V. was always a devote note-taker, ensuring each piece of the mystery was masterfully written for future generations so they, too, could see the Legend of Bill Daryl unravel before their eyes. At 45, DeAngelo had the biggest discovery of his career, an actual Bill Daryl sighting. In the notes D.V. wrote, the shadow-like figure was wearing a hooded shirt with what seemed to be a bald head. the strangest description D.V. wrote was that the creature was attracted to the music on the guitar he was playing when first contact happened. another interesting addition was that D.V. believed the creature was attracted to a trophy of gold that he always had displayed in every camp he had ever made. the trophy was a constant reminder of victory and his desire to acquire the truth. From this post forward, there was an extreme spiral in the notes being taken… As if D.V. had been cursed by the creature he desired so desperately to discover until one day, the notes stopped completely. After years of research, it was determined that DeAngelo Vickers disappeared, never to be seen again. D.V.’s notes were assumed to be lost in time, just as he was, until May 1, 2022. On a routine check of a certain section of woods, four men, Chase Nation, Eric Barstow, Nat Trout, and Stephen Atherton, discovered something unbelievable…

Under a broken-down tree lay a thick leather-bound book entitled “Bill Daryl.” In a matter of hours, the men read each word carefully that they had just discovered, and after each word, they were more certain that DeAngelo Vickers was on track to discover the truth regarding the legend of Bill Daryl. The men were torn, do they continue in their normal lives, or do they take up the mantle of the long-lost D.V. and continue to search for the infamous Bill Daryl? After much determination, they unanimously concluded that life without the truth is not worth living; therefore, the search must continue. After months of study, the men came to a haunting conclusion from D.V.s notes… music is the only way. Therefore, not out of superstition, just a little stition, the men formed the band little stitious, always having a trophy of gold on the stage as they play, traveling the land in hopes Bill Daryl will appear.
